BUSINESSMEN FROM ICELAND HAVE INTEREST TO INVESTMENT POTENTIAL OF POMORIE

The Arkhangelsk Regional Development Corporation held a meeting with the business delegation from Iceland. The guests showed interest in the region's investment climate and its prospects.

 

The representatives of the Corporation spoke about the activities of the ARDC, demonstrated a number of investment projects that could be of interest to the guests, as well as those with whom it is possible to communicate with one another in cooperation.

 

In turn, representatives of the country of geysers and volcanoes spoke about their capabilities in future joint activities. In particular, construction materials made on the basis of volcanic lava can be the subject for the development of economic cooperation between the Arkhangelsk region and Iceland. At the moment, using this unique component, roofing materials, bricks and fireplaces are already produced.

 

They also presented a number of projects on quickly erected indoor football courts, which are easily transformed into concert halls. Investments in similar projects can be implemented in the Arkhangelsk region. Iceland successfully operates enterprises for deep waste-free processing of fish, in which everything is used up to the production of fish oil from bones - by spinning, and the skin of large fish is sent for the manufacture of handbags.

 

Guests expressed interest in the supply of Arkhangelsk timber and pellets. Of interest to them was the development of young scientists at the State Medical University of the Russian Federation for the production of a vitamin drink based on the needles Arktikvit, which has a unique opportunity to consume stabilized vitamin C.

 

At the end of the business meeting, the parties exchanged contacts. Businessmen expressed a desire to continue communication to build mutually beneficial cooperation and in the very near future plan to return to our region to discuss the details of joint projects.
